Food Portraits
Food Portraits is my way of elevating the simple foods we eat every day into captivating works of art.
The detail in these large scale images reveals hidden secrets: the calyx of an eggplant is covered in tiny hairs that look like fireworks when magnified or in the middle of a sea urchin is a mouth that looks like white flower petals.
All of the food products I used were foraged or sourced from local producers. These are a few of many.
